Drilling through glass tile requires precision and care to keep the tile cool and prevent cracking. Occasionally, the back of the tile can scald, causing small areas where the color is removed. We strongly recommend installing backing behind areas where shower hardware will be mounted. This allows the weight of the glass to be supported by the wall rather than the tile.
